Michal Marek Fashion Show was one of the top fashion highlights and memorable occasions in Prague this 2018 year. The Michal Marek Catwalk was in a long-deconsecrated St. Anne’s church better known as The Prague Crossroads, an international spiritual centre, founded in 10th century A.D.
The Prague Crossroads conducts all kinds of meetings, where lectures, discussions, concerts, performances, exhibitions, meditation and happenings can take place in a spirit of respect for the multicultural diversity of the modern world. Gothick style dominats in the church’s interior in the present. The walls of the recently reconstructed church were covered by frescoes.

Gothic architecture of Prague can’t be decoration for Michal Marek Fashion Show just by coincidence. The church somehow inexplicably combines in itself the past and the future. The church’s history indicates that the future was unpredictable.

«Alternative Future». That is the name Michal Marek’s Collection. The collection name reflected accurately the central message of Michal Marek. It’s all too random, perhaps too remarkable and wonderful to be quite believable.
Michal Marek Fashion Show took place in the Gothick space and was like a theatrical performance. Models walked down the stairs, there is a place above the central nave, it was like something out of The skies.
The movement of models was accompanied by a Deep House music.
The models moved along the perimeter of St. Anne’s church walking past guests dressed in all black. The catwalk ended up someplace different near special art installations.
The show was decorated with floral arrangements and an Abstract expressionism Style Painting.
Futuristic collection of Michal Marek gave the impression of romance in the mind of the viewer: long dresses, semi-transparent fabrics, light shiny organza, lace, volumetric ruffles, long flowing tapes.
Black long organza dress with open back, translucent tulle dress with silvery sparkles were some of the most bright, romantic and «cosmic» images from «Alternative Future».
Michal Marek Collection does not have the redundancy, but at the same time, the designer used fashion elements of the season.
The hair style had a special place thanks to the hair artist’s fantasy and a reference to the past (Italian Renaissance Hair Styles).
Tuscan Style…. In the rushing of the seas, all I hear is your name…
The appearance of the young designer was like the stars rain down from the heavens. Michal Marek together with several models were taking honourable places on stage in the former church’s apse. The symbolic appearance of the designer finished the fashion show. This reminded an unexpected and a highly effective appearance of John Galliano.
